November 2015 MakeUp Favorites

Hey Loves!

I apologize if this post is a couple of days late as I was really busy for the past couple of days. My Fiance was sick for the past couple of days so I had to take good care of him, then I celebrated my birthday last December 1st so I had a simple dinner party with my family and friends.

So anyway, here are my favorite products for the month of November. :) If you notice on the photo above, I don't have much products to blog as my favorites for the past month since these are the few products I have been constantly using last month whenever I go out.

First and foremost, let's start with my favorite face product for the month of November which is the SanSan BB Cream in the shade Natural. I have actually done a review about this product which you can read here. I like that it provides medium to heavy coverage and it's very lightweight on the skin. Also, I like the longevity of this product as well especially in keeping my face matte especially in my T-zone area where I tend to be get easily oily. :) And of course, it's very affordable. :) Quality and the price of this product are both very great. :)

Next is this Quick FX Eyelift Cream. Fortunately, I don't have dark under eye circles but my under eyes tend to be really puffy especially when I lack sleep which I think is usual. So anyway, since I find that their Quick FX Mattifier primer is really effective, I decided to try their eyelift cream. This only costs Php 49.00 which is very affordable. I put this on my under eyes when I wake up and of course after washing my face and going to sleep at night. So far, I can see some improvement as my under eyes aren't that puffy like they used to be. :)

On with the blush, for last month, I found myself using this more often as it gives a natural blush on the cheeks. It does have shimmer in it, but the pigmentation and longevity is very good. This is also another HBC product. I also made a separate review about this blush which you can also read here.

So on with the lip products, if you have been following me on Instagram and have been reading my preview posts, especially for the month of October, you will notice that I have been very fond of blushes that's why I most of the reviews I have been posting before are more of blushes. However, I discovered last month that I am a little over my blush addiction and is now getting addicted in lipsticks instead. I have bought quite a few lipsticks last month but these three are my top favorites:

This is the Ever Bilena Lipstick in the shade Dazzling Orchid. If you check the swatch on the photo, it is actually a dark purple shade which I really love. Aside from Nude and Neutral lip shades, I have been into dark lipsticks as well and this one is my top favorite. I haven't done a review about this yet but of course I am planning to do so once I get to purchase the other shades in this line so as I can do a more in-depth review on this. :) Quality and longevity of this is very good and can last me about 4-5hours without retouching. Pigmentation is awesome since with only one swipe on the lips the color is already great. Aside from that, they also have a variety of shades from this lipstick line. They are also very affordable for only Php95.00 each. :)

And the my next favorite lipstick is this one from Maybelline which is from their ColorShow Line and this is in the shade Barely Nude. This is actually a matte color and I love the pigmentation and the shade of this. I actually use this when I go out during daytime since it just gives this natural look. I actually have a couple more lipsticks I purchased from their ColorShow Line but I haven't actually done a review on these lipsticks yet since I plan on getting more so as I can add more to my lipstick collection and as well as so as I can make a more in depth review on these babies. :) They have a wide variety of shades on these lippies and they are very affordable too! Regular price is Php165.00 each but for now since Maybelline is having a grand sale until December 31, 2015 in all their products, these lippies from their ColorShow line can be purchased for only Php150.00 each so you actually get Php15.00 discount on these. :)

Last but not the least, if I have dark and nude favorite lip shade favorites, I also have a pink one. :) This is from Aido which is in the shade Letter Q. I actually have quite a few Aido lipsticks since I find them very affordable, they have a wide variety of shades and the pigmentation and longevity of these lippies are very good. I actually have done a review on my first Aido lippies long ago which you can check out here. I will be doing an updated Aido Lipstick review soon since I have purchased a few more shades from them so stay tuned for that. :)

Okay, so that's all for now. I hope you enjoyed reading this post and also found this post very helpful. Please stay tuned for my upcoming blog posts and product reviews as I have a quite a ton of product reviews on my list now which I will be blogging about. :)

If you have any questions about the products I posted above or if you have any feedback or product review requests, feel free to comment down below so I can go check it out. :) You can also follow me here in BlogSpot.com and in BlogLovin.com to be updated with my upcoming product reviews and posts. :) Feel free also to follow me in Instagram: @Yhang_Chua since I always keep my IG account updated with my current and upcoming posts. :)

Thanks so much for reading! A few more days to go and it's Christmas! :) Can't wait to go Holiday and makeup shopping. LOL. :)

Review: Essence PureSkin All-in-One BB Cream Formulated For Asian Skin

Hey Loves!

So today will be about one of my favorite drugstore brands which is the Essence PureSkin BB Cream. I got mine in the shade 10-Light. Actually the purchase of this was unplanned since when I went to SM Bicutan a couple of weeks ago, SM had their 3-day sale and this was part of it. I got this because it only cost Php100.00! Also, the available shade they have for this product really fit me well, I mean it was the right shade for me, so of course, without any hesitations, I purchased this one and put this instantly in my shopping basket. Haha!

Price: Php 100.00 (on sale)/ Original Price: Php 319.00

Net Wt. 1.0 FL.oz/ 30mL

Its Claims:
- Has SPF 30 PA +++
- Formulated for Asian Skin
- Flawless Clear Skin
- Intensive moisture
- UVA/ UVB Protection
- Essence All-in-One BB Cream acts as a moisturizer, make-up base or foundation. Its oil-free formulation covers imperfections and provides a flawless clear skin without clogging pores. Contains moisturizing agents to smoothen skin.
- SPF30/PA+++ protection prevents skin darkening.

Ingredients:

Anyway, on with the review. Actually, this is not the first time that I have used this product since I purchased this. If you have been following me on Instagram, I posted a selfie there 3 weeks ago where I used this BB Cream when I had dinner and coffee with friends. Here is a screenshot of my Instagram post:

(Note: Please take note that I just took this screenshot just now as I am writing this post which is in real time that I will be posting this here in my blog. I don't schedule blog posts in advance. I actually write them on the spot and post it immediately afterwards real time.)

Honestly, I prefer using this more compared to my Maybelline ClearSmooth BB Cream. I feel that the longevity of this is better especially when primer is applied prior to application of the product.

Okay, so today, I applied this product for this blog today at exactly 2:22pm MNL time. I was at home all day but was busy with a lot of chores; (took care of my fiance in helping him prepare to go to work, cleaned my room, did my laundry, washed the dishes, helped my Mom to prepare dinner and cleaned the table afterwards) So imagine that though I was just at home, I did perspire and was out and about the whole afternoon and evening.

The product actually comes in a plastic tube and it has a spout so you can control the amount of product you will be using.

Once you apply the product at the back of your hand, this is how it looks like:

If you notice, it has quite a thick consistency and has a yellow undertone which I really like.

This is how it looked when I applied this product this afternoon at 2:22pm MNL time. Note though that I didn't apply any primers but just my Celeteque Facial Moisturizer after washing my face with my Celeteque Exfoliating Facial wash prior to application.

This is how it looked like when I just put one layer of the product:

If you notice, I haven't applied any makeup on yet and observe that it gives a dewy finish though the visible veins on my cheeks are still a little visible. Also, you can notice that I have a pimple beside my brow. It wasn't able to conceal the pimple itself but it was able to at least conceal the redness of it which works for me already.

My habit in applying face products are applying 2 layers of the product to on my face to make sure that I get medium- heavy coverage.

So this is how it then looked like when I applied the 2nd layer of the BB Cream on my face plus I also did my brows, put on my liquid eyeliner at the upper part of my eyes. and some nude lipstick.

If you notice, it does give out a dewy finish, but of course, I prefer a matte finish. So this is how it looked like after I applied blush- I used my LOL Blush Duo and my Nichido Final Powder in So Natural.

So there it is, though it isn't fully matte, I observed that with setting powder, the BB Cream was able to give out a glowing effect on my face.

After applying this, I was out and about with taking care and helping my Fiance get ready for work. I only retouched one time with the Nichido Final Powder after 3 hours which was exactly 5:47pm MNL time since what I do is that I make sure to accompany my Fiance outside the village and subdivision where he rides and commutes going to work.

Afterwards, I was busy with my chores: Fixed my room, I did our laundry, washed dishes, helped my Mom prepare dinner and cleaned the table after dinner. And the whole time I was doing this, I had my makeup on for the sake of this blog post. LOL. No worries though since I enjoyed doing my chores knowing that somehow I was made up. LOL.

I checked back at exactly 8:33pm MNL time and this is now how it looked like:

If you will notice, my face is still not that oily though my T-zone and my cheeks are already a bit shiny, but not to the extent that I already looked haggard after all the chores I did. Also, the veins in my cheeks aren't that visible yet. I only retouched once with my Nichido Final Powder, which was about 3 hours after application. It is actually a personal habit of mine to apply loose powder when going out of the house especially when I accompany my Fiance outside our subdivision or if I just have to go out of our village to buy something since I feel that if I don't have at least any loose powder and a tinted lip balm on, I feel that I look so pale. Note that these 2 photos taken at 8:33pm MNL time are the result after 6 hours from time of application.

What I like:
- It gives medium- heavy coverage depending on how much product you apply.
- It has a yellow undertone to it.
- Longevity is very good even without primer, but I can say that longevity is far better with a mattifying primer on.
- Affordable. Technically, it was really affordable for me when I purchased it since it was on sale and I only got this for only Php100.00 and the shade available that time was the right shade for me.
- Accessible: Available in all Essence counters in SM Department Stores- beauty section, Watsons and in other malls and department stores where there is an Essence Cosmetics Counter.
- It has SPF 30+++ which I think is very good for a BB Cream since some BB Creams contains lower SPF.
- Gives light- medium coverage which works well for me.
- There is no sticky feeling on the face.
- Very lightweight, feels like you don't have any BB cream/ foundation on.
- Though it wasn't able to fully conceal my pimple, it was able to conceal the redness which personally works for me.
- It gives a glowing effect on the skin which makes your face look healthier.
- True to its claims, it does moisturize the skin not making it look dry and cakey even after you set it with a final powder.

What I don't like:
- Since this was only on sale when I purchased this, they only have limited shades available and during that time that I purchased this, they only 2 shades available: this one which was the lightest shade they have and the darkest shade which is a shade for morena skin as per the saleslady.

Overall, I like this BB Cream a lot! Like I mentioned earlier, I prefer using this more than my Maybelline ClearSmooth BB Cream and recently, I have been using this a lot more than my all time favorite Shawill BB Cream. Haha!

REPURCHASE: YES!!
Like I said, I got it on sale firsthand, and at the same time, I have been loving the results that this BB Cream is giving me whenever I use it. :)

Note though that we have different skin types, I have given my review on this product based on my personal experience and how it worked for me and there is of course the possibility that this may not work on others as well as it worked for me or this may even work better on others than it worked for me. It all depends of course on our skin types.

Anyway, I hope you found this useful. Just to let you all know, what I also like about Essence Cosmetics is that aside from the fact that their products are great, they are always on sale. So imagine having to buy this drugstore product on its original price, they have a great selection of products and they are also always have products on sale. :)

If you have used this already, feel free to comment down below your own experience and if there are other BB Creams and foundation or any makeup products which are drugstore that you may want me to review or that you can recommend since I am always on the hunt for affordable but with very good quality. :) Also feel free to follow me here in BlogSpot, and in BlogLovin.com to be updated with my future posts. :) You can also follow me in Instagram: @Yhang_Chua since I also always keep my IG account updated with my new blog posts. :)

Review: Maybelline ClearSmooth All In One BB Cream in 01 Fresh

Hey Loves!

First of all, I would like to apologize for not being able to blog as much as I am supposed to. I've been busy with a lot of stuff for the past few days that when I get home I am just so dead tired to be able to blog. However, I promise to be able to catch up on my blog posts on the upcoming days as I have a list of product reviews just waiting to be posted. :)

Anyway, for today, it will be about the Maybelline ClearSmooth All In One BB Cream. For now, this is basically one of my most favorite BB Creams. I've had this for more than a month now and this is actually included in my October 2015: MakeUp and Skin Care Favorites that you can read here.

Anyway, on with the review. I actually purchased this in the SM Department Store- Beauty Section.

Price: I was able to purchase this for only Php 209.00 because they had a Php 50.00 markdown but I just wasn't sure though if it's also part of their permanent markdown on their products. Original Price is Php 259.00

Net Wt. 18mL

Its Claims:
- With SPF 21 PA++
- All Day Shine-free. UV Protection. Brightens. Conceals. Refines. Smoothes. Evens. Hydrates.
- Our new lightweight and oil-absorbing gel cream formula delivers 8 healthy-looking skin benefits:
  *Visible all day shine-free skin.
  *Protects against skin darkening UV-rays.
  *Visibly brighter and radiant skin.
  *Conceals imperfections.
  *Visibly minimizes pores.
  *Smoother looking skin texture.
  *Even-looking skin tone.
  *All-day hydration.
- Dermatologist tested
- Allergy Tested
- Non comodogenic
- Suitable for sensitive skin.

Okay, so on with the review. Once I applied a generous amount of the product at the back of my hand before application, this is how it looks like:

If you notice, the consistency is actually not that thick, maybe because as per its claims, this is water-based but not to liquid-y too (if there's such a term).

Okay, so I applied this product on my face at exactly 07:23pm MNL time and this is how it looks like. Please note though that I only applied 1 layer of this product on my clean face. I didn't use any primers prior to application. I only applied my Celeteque Facial Moisturizer which is my trusty facial moisturizer which I apply after washing and toning my face especially before I apply makeup.

If you notice, it does give a glowy look on the face and what really impresed me is that for only 1 layer of the product, it was able to cover the most visible veins in my cheeks. However, it really wasn't able to fully conceal the pimple that I have right under my nose but was able to conceal its redness which works for me.

And then this is how it looks like after I set it with a setting/ translucent powder. I used my Nichido Final Powder in So Natural.

I also applied by blush here and I used by Allue Blush Duo in Peach Pie and also my lipstick which is my pink Aido lipstick in the Shade Q, and also my Nichido Liquid Eyeliner in the color Black. If you notice, with the setting powder, it was able to give out a matte finish but what I was impressed is that though the setting powder was able to give out a matte finish, my skin still has that glowing effect and didn't look dull and dry.

So of course, I wanted to see the longevity of this product. I was at home the whole evening when I did this but I was busy doing a lot of stuff by then but didn't perspire that much. Personally, I don't perspire that easily but since I have combination skin: wherein I have normal to oily skin. My T-zone tends to oil up easily.

After more than 3 hours, I already checked how this product is. Please note that this photos I will be showing you was taken at exactly 10:55pm MNL of the same evening. I also didn't blot or retouch with powder this whole time as I wanted to show you guys the longevity of this product.

So after more than 3 hours, the product is still there but you can notice that the veins on my cheeks are already starting to get visible as well as the redness of my pimple and my nose already started to oil up. However, what I still liked is though my face started to oil up, it didn't look messy on my face just like I just stepped out from the outdoor sun. It still has that glowing effect on my skin without making me look like a hot mess.

What I like:
- Very affordable: Php 209.00 (sale price)/ Php 259.00 (original price)
- Accessible: available in all Maybelline counters in malls nationwide
- It comes in a squeeze tube so you can control the product that will be coming out of the tube.

- The packaging is light and small so it can easily fit in your makeup kit.
- Has SPF 21 PA ++
- Though it wasn't able to fully conceal my pimple, I like the fact that for only one layer of the product, it was already able to conceal the visible veins on my cheeks and the redness of my pimple.
- True to its claims, it does give a glowing effect on the face without looking so oily.
- Very lightweight on the face, like you don't have any BB Cream on.
- Very easy to blend on the face.
- Though it claims that it gives out All Day Shine Free result, I am impressed that my T-Zone which is the part of my face that gets oily easily didn't oil up that much than usual.
- The product didn't cake up on my face especially when my T-Zone started to oil up.

What I don't like:
- Though it claims that this gives All Day Shine Free result, my T-Zone already started to oil up after more than 3 hours but wasn't that oily than it usually is.

REPURCHASE: YES.
I have always liked Maybelline products and though this wasn't able to hold true to its claims of all day shine free face, it didn't cake up on my face and is very lightweight.

Please note though that we all have different skin types so this product may have different results for us.

Anyway, I hoped you like this product review. I have a list of product reviews waiting to be posted and I am also excited to be posting about my November 2015 favorites so watch out for that as well. :)

Feel free to comment down below your own experience with this product or if you have any makeup products you would also like me to review. :) Also feel free to follow me in BlogLovin.com and also in Instagram: @Yhang_Chua since I also keep my IG account updated with my latest posts. :)

Shawill Orange Blush in Dreamy Rose

Hey Loves!

So today will be about another favorite blush of mine which is also from Shawill. This is the Shawill Blusher in the shade Dreamy Rose from their Showcase Line. This is actually the first orange shade blush that I bought prior to the other one which is also from Shawill which was the Orange Blush in 04 as well from their Vogue Noble Line which you can read about here.

Anyway, this is cheaper than that blush since this only costs Php 99.00 when the one from the Vogue Noble Line costs about Php 138.00. Anyway, when you buy it with the box, this is how it looks like:

I actually think the packaging is cute most especially the packaging of the blush itself:

The packaging is made of plastic and there is a flower design embedded on the cover of it. And since it is transparent, you can also see that there is a powder/ blush puff included which you can use to apply the blush.

So once you also open it again, at the bottom is where the blush is located and there is also a tiny mirror in it. I like the fact that this product is small, easy to put in your makeup kit so you can bring in anywhere. If you notice, there is also a flower design embedded on the blush itself. I apologize though if it's not that visible already as I have already used this blush several times. Haha!

Okay, so this blush line actually has 7 shades:
1. Dreamy Rose (which is this one)
2. Beach Bronze
3. Sexy Bright
4. Pink Chic
5. Candy Red
6. Perfectly Peach
7. Natural Beige

Price: Php 99.00

Net Wt. 4grams

Its Claims:
This light, bold color and the fine texture of this blush blends easily with your skin to give a healthy, natural skin tone.

Ingredients:
Talc, Mica, SIO, Titanium Dioxide, Magnisium Stearate, Paraffin Oil, Lanolin, Liposorb SQO, Methyl Paraben, PropylParaben, Fragrance, D&C Red 7 CA Lake, Iron Oxide Black, Iron Oxide Red, Iron Oxide Brown, Iron Oxide Yellow, FD&C Yellow 5 AL Lake.

So on with the swatch, it does have shimmer in it which is okay for me but the pigmentation and longevity is really great! Like it does last me the whole day. And even though this is just a tiny blush, a little goes a long way because it is very pigmented so you have to be really careful on how much amount you put on your cheeks:

What I like:
- Very affordable: Php 99.00 only.
- Available nationwide: Watsons, SM Department Store- Beauty Section, Metro Department Stores- beauty sections, Landmark Department store and those malls which have a beauty section with a Shawill counter.
- They have a variety of shades for this type of blush: 7 shades in total.
- Very pigmented and lasts me the whole day.
- Packaging is really cute with all the flowers embedded on the cover and on the blush itself, and also very small so it's very easy to put in your makeup kit.
- It already includes a powder/ blush puff and a tiny mirror which you can use for application especially when you're on the go or to retouch.
- Packaging although made of plastic, feels like it is sturdy enough and not easy to break.
-Packaging shows the Expiration Date of this product.

What I don't like:
- None. Honestly, I like this blush very much: from the packaging to the pigmentation and to the quality of the product itself.

REPURCHASE: YES!
I actually have plans of also completing and purchasing their other shades of this line of blushes since it is very affordable. And if you have been reading my previous posts, I am really obsessed with blushes lately that I can't get enough of them. LOL.

So that's it for now. I know that I have featured more blush reviews on my blog for the past couple of weeks but I promise I will be posting more reviews about face products like foundation, lipstick and other makeup products soon. :)

Feel free to comment down below if you have any questions regarding this product or if you also have other products you would like me to review. :) You can follow me here in BlogSpot and also in BlogLovin.com :) Follow me also in Instragram: @Yhang_Chua since I always keep my IG account updated with my latest and newest posts and even new makeup purchases. :)

So, that's it for now. See you on my next post! :)

Review: Allue Blush Duo in Peach Pie

Hey Loves!

So today I will be talking about another HBC product which is the Allue Blush Duo in Peachy Pie. HBC is one beauty store that offers a wide variety of beauty products and this is also where you can buy San San Products. Anyway, if I'm not mistaken Allue is the brand of HBC which are specially designed for teenage girls who are starting to learn and to love makeup. Back in college, I have already experienced purchasing and using one of their Allue blushes. Since I was a student back then, I don't have the luxury of buying high end drugstore or even the really high end ones except of course if I ask my parents to buy it for me. LOL. So anyway, I can really say that Allue is designed for teenage and working girls alike who are looking for affordable yet good quality of makeup products.

I actually bought this the same time I bought the San San BB Cream which I featured in my last post which you can also read about here. I was there and if you have been following me in Instagram or have been reading my last posts, you will know that I am kinda addicted to blushes at the moment and this is one of those blushes that are part of my collection.

Anyway, on with the review, the packaging of this one is made of kinda thin plastic so you really have to be careful in handling this because when you actually hold this in your hand, it is very light and fragile so dropping this may be the end of this product. What I like though is that it already has a blush brush included which for me is just a right size for travelling and can actually do the job of applying the blush on your cheeks. I have other blushes which includes a blush brush as well but is so tiny it's not gonna serve its purpose; but for this one, I think it's just the right travel-sized brush.

So when you open the cover, this is how the product looks like:

It has 2 shades of blushes and the brush. And at the back you will see the shade of this and at the same time ingredients, net weight, and manufacturer.

Price: Php 75.00

Net Wt. 0.19oz/ 5.5 grams

Its Claims:
Hypoallergenic. Contains Vitamins A, C and E.

Ingredients:
Mica, Talc, Pearl Powder, Triglyceride, Magnesium Stearate, Propyl Paraben, Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E)
May Contain: CI 77891, CI 77491

Caution: Use with care. For external use only. Keep powder away from children's nose and mouth.

Exclusively Distributed by: HBC

Made in P.R.O.C

Okay, so on with the swatches for the blush:

Pigmentation is okay for me. Like I said earlier, this brand is actually designed for teenage girls and those who are just starting to learn how to use makeup so this is really good for starters. Personally though, I like the pigmentation more of the second shade which is shown in the swatches above as it looks just like a natural blush. What I can do though about the first shade is that I think I can use this as a highlighter because of how light and shimmery it is. It will give that rosy highlight if you're going to use that as a highlighter at the top of your cheekbones

What I like:
- Very affordable: Php 75.00 only
- Available in all HBC branches nationwide.
- Pigmentation is good especially for makeup starters
- Packaging is thin and can easily fit in your makeup kit.
- I like the brush, though tiny, I think it's still functionable.
- Since packaging is transparent, you can easily see the shade of the blushes.
- When I bought this in HBC Alabang, they don't have a tester for this, therefore when I purchased this, I had to just rely on the shades that are visible in the plastic packaging.
- They also have a variety of shades and even single blushes which are in a cute cardboard packaging in affordable prices as well.

What I don't like:
- Packaging is made of thin plastic therefore it is fragile and may easily break if you drop it. Therefore, handle with care. :)
- Does not have at least a tiny mirror in it.

REPURCHASE: YES.
I mean why not? For its price, I think it's worth it especially for students and those who are just starting to learn how to do their makeup and those who are in a budget. Like I said, I've used Allue blushes back when I was in college so technically, this is already a repurchase for me. In addition to that, even though I won't be able to use the first shade as a blush itself, I think it can be a great alternative for a highlighter. :)

So that's it for now. I hope I was able to give you information about this especially those who are makeup starters. If you have tried and or have this blush, feel free to comment down below your experiences with it or you can also comment down if there are any makeup products you would like me to review. :)
